We are Mercure. We are proud to be locally inspired. We take inspiration from local treasures and pleasures, and celebrate local people as the cornerstones of culture. We promise to enable our guests and neighbours to enjoy the richness of local discovery again.
The Mercure Hotels manifesto inspired the creation of a two days “Local Experience” at the Mercure Siracusa Prometeo.
The first day was dedicated to a group of influencers which we guided through the discovery of a land full of flavours, perfumes, traditions and breathtaking landscapes. The second day the hotel was the setting for four workshops open to the public: Olive Oil Tasting, to meet the farmers of the organic olive oil; Mixology Laboratory, to learn the finest way to create local cocktails; Olfactory Laboratory, to discover the extraordinary perfumers of this land; Artistic Decoration, to be inspired by the creativity of hand-painted fabrics in the heart of Ortigia.
The evening closed with the Local Happy Hour, made it special by the exhibition and tasting of the local products, by the DJ Set and by the performance of a Greek tragedy.
